What do you do in your job?
Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) programs in bank and credit unions are experiencing a boom. With growing RDC programs, Benchmark helps banks and credit unions sustain end-users ' satisfaction. Benchmark offers RDC support services like online fulfillment also known as TraxIT, Installs and Upgrades, and Help Desk. Malik first started as a Software installer where he would assist bank’s clients in fully utilizing their remote deposit capturing system. He also provided Help Desk services where he would help RDC clients or any clients encountering technical obstacles. Malik is now a Senior Software installer so along with assisting clients with installs and supporting Help Desk efforts, he now helps train and educates new and existing Software Installers. Malik rose to Senior Software Installer based on his excellent performance, great attitude, and enhanced communication skills. We congratulate him on his recent promotion and for being Benchmark’s Best for March. How long has Malik worked for Benchmark? Although Malik has been blazing a trail of success at Benchmark, he has only been here for a short while. He started at Benchmark in April 2020 as a Software Installer. He was promoted at the end of 2020 and has been thriving in his new role. Despite the short stay at Benchmark, he has been able to make a full impact as a leader and a communicator in the Projects Management department. Success Story Malik has spent most of his time at Benchmark interacting with customers over the phone to help assist with updates, installations, and even Help Desk support. He humbly admits that resolving issues and maintaining customer satisfaction is just a part of his responsibilities. However, he did recall a time where he had to work as a team with an IT department to help resolve an issue with the client's personal security protocols. He found that he enjoyed resolving the issue and compared it to solving a puzzle. Beyond that, his collaboration with the IT department was a major success. Working together as a team and resolving a unique issue made the client very happy and helped Malik with his innovation and collaboration skills. Hobbies outside of work? While his weekdays are inside of our on-site RDC center, he is a fan of the outdoors. In his free time, he enjoys some fast-paced outdoor adventures. His favorite activities include hiking, mountain biking, and paintball. His recommendations for mountain biking trails he suggests Ellijay, GA. For hiking, his favorite spot is Rainbow Falls, Tennessee. You will have to go out of state, but he assures the view is amazing. Favorite Food? Malik treasures a family meal as his favorite food. Codfish and Ackee is one of his absolute favorite dishes. Because of Ackee's rarity in the United States, this dish is reserved for special occasions. While it is a traditional dish in Jamaica, Malik's family makes it even more unique with their own flare. His family pulls from both his Caribbean and Jamaican influences to make this amazing homemade dish. He loves how this dish brings his family together. What are you watching these days? With amazing shows hitting streaming and cable it's hard not to get hooked. FOX's series from 2018, The Resident, is about a group of doctors and nurses struggling through their residency at the fictitious hospital of Chastain Park Memorial Hospital set in Atlanta, GA.
